What a Joy Ride

Bicycles digital art has definitely taken over the bridal streets. Say goodbye to overly formal wedding themes. Weddings should showcase the personalities of the couple and this is exactly what other newlyweds have pulled of at their own DIY weddings. Invitation at DIY Paperie.

Another invitation available at ElloThere.

This is our very own pocket mirror to match the bicycle themed invites at Pressed Orange. They can be personalized!

Damask to the Max

Damask printed items are dominating the wedding scene nowadays. Its prints exude class and sophistication. Not to mention that you don't have to spend a fortune to achieve an elegant look since there are a lot of inexpensive damask items available out there most especially the black & white combination. Its versatility works hand in hand with any color palette just like the sample photos below.

Cake that I came across at Cake Central.

I highly recommend this Etsy site- Social Circles Design LLC I worked with them for my good friend's wedding invites. They are prompt and excellent in their service.

A "Heart Felt" Valentine's Day

I found this blog Felt Sew Good features these heart-shaped brooches and pins made out of felt material embellished with buttons and embroidery. They make an inexpensive Valentine's Day gift idea to friends or co-workers or perhaps your kid's teachers and classmates. My imagination is telling me that these can also be made like a heart shaped small pillow stuffed with scented potpourri or you can sew in a string or ribbon so you can hang them as tree ornaments. Any more ideas?

Heart is often associated with "Love" so go spread some love. Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Wedding Inspiration: Yellow Tones + White + Gray + Kraft

Latest bridal magazines state that yellow is the newest color trend for weddings in 2010. Why not? Yellow is very refreshing. Its bright, sunny hues invite such cheerful vibe.

I am helping out a good friend of mine plan her big day in April. This is the inspiration board I came up with. I would like to incorporate these details such as the crystal chandeliers, orchids, gray damask prints ( probably as table runner ), gold tone chivari chairs and pearls. They create a simple yet elegant look.

She was so thrilled about this wedding dress I found. It costs only $189 at this online store Shop for Lover plus-shipping is free! Also, the flowergirl dress is a bargain find at Pink Princess.
I am so looking forward to her spring wedding. May it bring them a blossoming marriage and a sunny bright future ahead.

What a cool and fun way to welcome your family's new bundle of joy even before your baby boy realizes his existence.
